Manager, Logistics
About The Position
DP World North America is a growing global contract logistics provider with operations in over 40 countries at 95 separate sites within Automotive and Technology divisions. We operate highly complex and technical 4-walled warehouses for our global clients. We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient movement of goods, maintain strong carrier and supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvements to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and inventory control processes.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carrier relationships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply chain reporting tools.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock records.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with transportation providers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
- Lead, mentor, and develop logistics and warehouse personnel.
- Manage logistics budgets and control operational expenses.
- Resolve transportation, shipment, and supply chain issues quickly and effectively.
