Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, FP&A, or a related field in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and operational information into clear, concise investor messaging.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and market-sensitive information.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with institutional investors and/or sell-side analysts preferred.
  • Ability to serve as an AI champion for the Investor Relations function, identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence to improve IR efficiency, analytics, investor engagement, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support the investment community engagement and execution of the company’s investor relations outreach strategy.
  • Prepare detailed investor and analyst briefing materials, including company messaging, investment thesis analysis, financial estimates, and anticipated questions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of key shareholders, prospective investors, and sell-side analysts.
  • Track investor feedback, sentiment, ownership changes, and key areas of investor focus.
  • Support management preparation for investor meetings and conferences.
  • Coordinates investor relations events and manages the IR calendar, including investor conferences, roadshows, and earnings activities, ensuring seamless scheduling and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Analyze sell-side consensus, company financial performance, operating trends, valuation, and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor industry, peer company, market, and macroeconomic trends relevant to the company and its investment thesis.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and peer analysis, including financial performance, valuation multiples, guidance, and investor messaging.
  • Monitor sell-side research, earnings estimates, price targets, ratings, and changes in analyst expectations.
  • Identify trends and potential investor concerns and communicate relevant insights to IR and Finance leadership.
  • Maintain financial models, consensus estimates, and valuation analyses.
  • Support the quarterly earnings process, including preparation of earnings materials, management briefing documents, Q&A, and investor communications.
  • Monitor consensus estimates and identify significant differences between company expectations and Wall Street expectations.
  • Prepare earnings-related analysis and post-earnings investor feedback.
  • Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Accounting, Communications, Legal, and business leadership to understand business performance and strategic priorities.
  • Support special projects, including Investor Day, CES, 3M Open, strategic announcements, capital allocation initiatives, and other significant corporate announcements and events.
  • Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
