Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), part of Bridgestone Americas, operates more than 2,200 company-owned stores across North America. The Manager in Training (MIT) supports retail store operations while preparing for future leadership opportunities. This hands-on role provides experience in tire and automotive service sales, customer engagement, and operational excellence. The position includes a structured 90-day training program intended to prepare the MIT for promotion to Store Manager. Participants complete required training modules, demonstrate leadership competencies, and take part in a formal leadership interview evaluation. If all program requirements are met, the employee may be assigned to a Store Manager role, ideally within a reasonable distance of their location or within the market where training occurred; the placement location is subject to mutual agreement. If no mutually agreed Store Manager location is available, the employee may be placed in a Professional Service Manager (PSM) role within the market. If requirements are not met, reassignment to a PSM role may occur and includes a pay adjustment. If requirements are met but no Store Manager opening is available, the employee remains in the MIT role until one becomes available. The stated pay range is $23.00–$35.94. Bridgestone states that employees receive pay meeting or exceeding applicable minimum wage requirements. The company describes its culture as inclusive and supportive, and offers training, performance incentives, paid vacation and holidays, competitive healthcare packages for full-time and part-time employees, and a 401(k) plan. Additional offerings described include onboarding, regular mentorship, development opportunities, corporate social responsibility activities, and a dynamic work environment.
