About The Position

The Manager, Human Resources & People & Culture provides strategic and operational leadership across Human Resources functions, aligning people strategies with institutional priorities to drive organizational effectiveness, talent excellence, and a high-performing, inclusive culture. This role serves as a trusted Human Resources business partner to institutional leadership, advancing enterprise-wide talent strategy, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring that Human Resources programs, systems, and services support the institution’s long-term growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive Human Resources experience, including benefits administration
  • At least five years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing talent strategies, including workforce planning and talent development
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven people management and leadership capabilities
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to influence leaders across the institution
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability—able to both design and deliver solutions
  • Leadership style that is confident, consistent, supportive, and adaptable

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic Human Resources business leader to institutional leadership, aligning people and talent strategies with organizational priorities
  • Lead the development and execution of talent strategies, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, development, and retention initiatives
  • Manage Human Resources team, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for employee relations matters, ensuring thoughtful, consistent, and timely resolution
  • Co-lead large and medium-scale, institutional Human Resources initiatives and projects
  • Maintain the Human Resources communications, including benefits, compensation, and service delivery updates
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives, providing expertise on people-related strategies and organizational outcomes
  • Manage escalated Human Resources inquiries related to compensation, benefits, and HR services
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience
  • Contribute to building and sustaining a positive, inclusive work culture and organizational climate
  • Serve as Secondary Benefits Administrator, supporting benefits operations and vendor coordination
  • Lead Human Resources compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory and institutional standards
  • Lead the management and optimization of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system effectiveness
  • Oversee Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and support talent acquisition processes aligned with institutional talent strategy
  • Demonstrate strong organizational leadership by managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Drive outcomes through influence, collaboration, and partnership across the institution
  • Utilize data and analytics to evaluate Human Resources programs, initiatives, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with institutional partners on onboarding, offboarding, and workforce lifecycle processes
