About The Position

The People & Culture Manager at Fairmont El San Juan Hotel supports the overall management and administration of Human Resources functions. This includes, but is not limited to, hiring, employee/labor relations issues and investigations, wage and salary administration, learning and development, worker’s compensation and safety, and the implementation of policies and programs as directed by the Corporate offices.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years previous Human Resources management experience required.
• Learning & Development experience.
• Considerable knowledge of Federal/State labor laws.
• Working knowledge of Federal and local regulations relating to OSHA and worker’s compensation.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to analyze reports, forecast.
• Ability to effectively deal with employees and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, resolve conflicts and collect accurate information.
• Ability to travel to training sessions, hearings etc. held in the local area.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in the English language.

Nice To Haves

• Four-year college degree preferred
• Previous hospitality experience preferred
