About The Position

In this role, you will act as a trusted HR advisor and partner to assigned management team made up of corporate enablement functions. Collaborate and partner with the appropriate HR leaders and management level to provide support to managers and employees within the defined HR strategy and principles. Has responsibility and accountability (liaising as need with teams such as Compensation, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, etc.) for onboarding and off boarding, legal/employee relations, training, culture, engagement, performance management, job description management, compensation and benefits. Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to drive organizational consensus, and results. Continuously identify and implement effective and efficient HR solutions. Key liaison between employees and the company to provide a world class workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR or related field required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in human resources required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with written and oral skills, make quick decisions, interpret data, read and write, speak in front of groups, express and exchange ideas, understand direction and adhere to procedures.
  • Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization and achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities.
  • Position operates in a professional office environment. May stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Read and interpret data, information and documents.
  • Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgments.
  • Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Use in-depth expertise and experience to provide HR business partner support for various HR initiatives.
  • Provide advice, clarification and follow-up on policies, procedures, benefits and compensation related items for employees, managers and global HR partners.
  • Interpret and administer HR policies, procedures, guidelines and programs, always ensuring alignment with global West in a consistent manner.
  • Manage and facilitate performance and talent management processes and programs, individual development plans and succession planning activities.
  • Exercise of best practices to partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure staffing needs are met and conduct a thorough analysis and proposing an offer based on partnership with Compensation team.
  • Lead, manage, address, and resolve employee relations concerns, including conducting thorough and objective investigations while keeping the appropriate parties informed.
  • Liaise with Legal for statutory and legal issues to keep management updated with the latest statutory requirements relating to the employment of staff.
  • Manage and handle the offboarding/termination process including exit interviews and systems changes; schedule, conduct exit interview and analysis of trends.
  • Facilitate training programs in partnership with the Talent Development team and through training needs analysis to enhance the competencies of the workforce.
  • Conducts trainings on topics such as HR processes, change management, employee development programs and employment law and leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
