About The Position

Leads and manages team responsible for health plan growth and community engagement activities. Responsible for achieving and continuously improving Molina’s enrollment/referral growth objectives across all lines of business; collaborates with key departments across the enterprise to improve overall choice rates and assignment percentages. Develops relationships with community based organizations (CBOs) and providers to drive membership growth, and plans and coordinates community events with key partners to increase Molina brand recognition visibility.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of related experience in marketing, business development, community engagement, sales and/or customer service, including at least 3 years of managed care experience (Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace), or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of management/leadership experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job related travel requirements.
  • Ability to drive up to 3 hours to attend events.
  • Ability to attend public events in outdoor venues in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds and independently prepare for and set up community marketing events.
  • Experience with negotiation, sales and/or marketing techniques.
  • Knowledge of advertising requirements pertaining to Medicaid and Medicare media campaigns.
  • Strong customer service acumen.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, including community based organizations (CBOs).
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills ability to manage simultaneous projects and tasks to meet internal deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to facilitate public speaking events and presentations.
  • Microsoft Office suite/applicable software program(s) proficiency.

  • Developed understanding of the managed care industry, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace programs.
  • Previous health care marketing, enrollment/referral and/or grassroots community outreach experience.
  • Outreach experience serving low income populations.
  • Experience presenting to health influencer and low income audiences.
  • Life & Health Insurance license.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish.
  • 3+ year of management/leadership experience.
  • Leading a team of field reps.
  • Proficient in Salesforce & MS Teams.
  • Able to interpret enrollment and term data and translate insights into actional strategy.
  • Can take a concept and standardize, build blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Manages team responsible for carrying out activities required to achieve membership/referral growth targets and overall "choice rate" through a combination of direct and indirect marketing activities and community events.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and execute the health plan's member enrollment/growth strategy.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates the enrollment growth plan for assigned territory, and plans and facilitates enrollment activities to promote membership growth.
  • Achieves established monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment/referral membership goals and growth targets.
  • Leads team in the development of relationships with key providers, community based organizations (CBOs), faith based organizations (FBOs), school based organizations (SBOs), business based Organizations (BBOs), and providers - ensuring all efforts are directed towards building membership.
  • Collaborates with the local sales team to identify growth opportunities focused on key providers and CBOs.
  • Directs the coordination, development and approval of state/federal guidelines for all marketing and promotional materials for all product lines.
  • Plans and executes annual Molina signature events, encourages key partners to participate, and aligns media components.
  • Collaborates with the provider relations team to ensure providers within assigned territory are aware of Molina products and services.
  • Establishes simple referral processes for providers and CBOs to refer clients who may be eligible for applicable products.
  • Represents as an ambassador within the community on the health care delivery system and wellness topics.
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of Molina’s product lines, Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare SNP, Marketplace, Medicare-Medicaid Plan (MMP), etc.
  • Identifies and promotes Molina's volunteer time off (VTO) program, and develops opportunities for employees to participate in community volunteering events.
  • Creates and regularly reviews team performance metrics/scorecards to ensure team performance contributes to overall enrollment growth, and provides clear direction and intermittent steps to achieve success.
  • Hires, trains, manages and evaluates team member performance - provides coaching, development, and recognition ensures ongoing appropriate staff training, holds regular team meetings, and drives communication and collaboration.
  • Travel around Hildago, Dallas, and/or Tarrant, TX approximately once per quarter.
