About The Position

This position also: You will be responsible for the management of park facilities and infrastructure. This position also: Is responsible for directing the activities of park ambassadors within facilities maintenance, including HVAC, Food Service, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and building systems, as well as training and scheduling teams and completing performance reviews. Is responsible for operating expenses related to facilities maintenance and infrastructure. Oversee all aspects of facility operations including HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, utilities, building systems, carpentry, paint and collaborate directly with outside vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure maintenance that enhances park assets and guest experiences. This position also acts as project coordinator for capital expenses related to facilities and infrastructure. Directly responsible for ensuring all facility systems are maintained in compliance with regulatory statutes and company standards to uphold ambassador and guest safety. Other duties as required include assisting other locations, departments, and areas as needed. Position includes being involved in rotational Park Duty Manager and Facility Duty Manager schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent
  • Maintain CPO Certification for Play Areas and all water quality items.
  • 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building systems) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have and maintain a valid state driver's license; visiting applicants and military must have a valid driver’s license from state of residency and be able to provide a copy of the DMV report.
  • Must be able to obtain a park driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of hand, electrical, power, and air tools
  • Able to operate mechanical devices such as forklifts, telehandlers, and boom lifts
  • Able to climb and work at heights up to 200+ feet using a ladder, stairs, or equipment such as a manlift
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of people, including guests, ambassadors, and the general public
  • Proven priority management skills
  • Able to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand on ladders for extended periods of time
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (i.e., sunlight, wet and/or humid conditions)
  • Demonstrated adaptability and openness to changes

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant certifications such as HVAC, electrical, or facilities management certifications preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required certifications within 1 year
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and other maintenance management systems preferred
