Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing – Final Assembly team as a Final Assembly Supervisor 2 based in Sunnyvale, CA. Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development, manufacture, assembly, and testing of propulsion and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Master's with a minimum of 6 years of experience. (4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Supervisory or team lead experience in an operations environment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
The ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

STEM Degree
Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
Understanding of SAP.
Experience managing union represented workforce.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Previous military experience
Have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead a team directly responsible for the final assembly of one of these units.
Supervise a team of 10-15 mechanics, pipe fitters, painters, or electricians in their day-to-day work.
Take care of your team, your product, and ensuring all work is performed to Northrop Grumman’s high standards of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Engagement.
Ensure their time and pay are accurate.
Ensure they work in a safe environment, and their concerns are addressed.
Ensure the collective bargaining agreement is adhered to.
Ensure their assigned training is completed.
Address obstacles to performing work efficiently.
Address interpersonal issues quickly and at the lowest level.
