Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 8 years of experience; Master's with 6 years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience (4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Supervisory or team lead experience in the operation and maintenance of a boiler steam plant system.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • US citizen required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Experience managing union represented workforce.
  • US Naval or Civilian management experience in the safe operation and maintenance of a boiler steam generation system (certified steam plant operator or licensed to operate a high-pressure steam plant) is strongly desired.
  • Experience as a Tester B "journeyman tester".
  • Experience in metallurgy.
  • Knowledge and experience in welding processes, general machining, and precision large industrial assembly.
  • US Naval Machinist Mate experience.
  • Have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Test Facility Operating Team and oversee Test Facility Operations in support of Test Campaigns and individual component testing for quality, and to maximize schedule and cost performance.
  • Manage the support for all aspects and phases of Test operations from inception through completion.
  • Responsible for the cost and schedule performance of Operations programs and/or subsystems of major programs in the Test areas.
  • Monitors and drives adherence to master plans and schedules, and cost performance to budgets. Provides cost and schedule performance data/status as requested.
  • Identifies process problems and, working with Manufacturing Test Engineering, develops solutions.
  • Directs the work of assigned Employees. Interfaces with Employee representatives as required. Conducts performance reviews with Employees and provides timely feedback on performance.
  • Coordinate, Maintain and track Employee Training/Certifications as required.
  • Work with Manufacturing Test Engineering on the Preparation, Maintenance and Operation of the Test Facilities. Assist in facility planning, maintenance, and improvements.
  • Oversee the Pipe Shop and Electrical Shop, ensuring their activities align with test‑facility objectives and support overall operational goals.
