About The Position

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is seeking a Manager, Franchising for Tim Hortons in Canada. RBI is a global leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, owning iconic brands like TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. This role will support the entire franchisee lifecycle, including recruitment, milestone recognition, extension awards, and sale transactions, contributing to the strategic growth of the franchisee base nationwide. The Manager will collaborate with franchisee candidates, external vendors, and internal teams such as Field Operations, Operations Training, Communications, and Legal.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in business, finance, franchising, or a related field.
  • University degree in business, communications, hospitality, economics, finance or related.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen and business development capabilities.
  • Ability to establish and build effective relationships and to work collaboratively with others to set and achieve goals.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information, identify issues and their causes, using good judgment to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the national recruiting strategy to attract high-quality franchisee candidates, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for national growth.
  • Implement and execute strategic initiatives to increase the quantity of highly-qualified applicants.
  • Assess strategic needs and priorities across the nation in liaison with the Field Operations team.
  • Analyze franchisee metrics to evaluate the success of new franchisee placements.
  • Continuously improve the franchisee life-cycle experience, from initial application through onboarding, to strengthen brand perception and long-term success.
  • Support succession planning and internal candidate development to ensure a sustainable pipeline of future operators.
  • Manage and develop the strategy for the owner recognition program.
  • Liaise with the Communications Team to execute on owner recognition initiatives.
  • Support the Performance & Expandability (P&E) model, the internal franchisee success system used to evaluate franchisee performance and drive growth decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to track key owner information and data.
