About The Position

Manages, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of facilities maintenance. Ensures contracts and service agreements meet facility standards and needs. Oversees equipment and facilities maintenance and repair. Provides leadership to Facilities Management team members and supervisors, aligns department goals with the health system, and manages the performance and development of direct and indirect reports. Oversees maintenance and repair schedules, vendor relationships, operating goals and budgets, performance reporting, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
6–8 years of relevant experience.
2–5 years of leadership or management experience.

Nice To Haves

HVAC experience.
Chiller plant license.
Maritime experience.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to Facilities Management team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding them toward department objectives.
Develop, communicate, and build consensus for goals aligned with the health system.
Select, develop, manage, and evaluate direct reports; oversee the selection, development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports.
Manage maintenance and repair schedules for equipment and facilities.
Ensure contracts and service agreements meet facility standards and needs.
Build and maintain productive interdepartmental, intradepartmental, and vendor relationships to optimize operations.
Recommend, implement, and adhere to approved operating goals, objectives, and budgets.
Report operational performance, justification, and corrective action.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Perform related duties as required.
