About The Position

The Executive Search Lead (Mgr level) will own all Director/Sr. Director/VP level searches across commercial functions, GPS Growth & Performance System our high-performing system, built on a People-Process-Performance foundation and GBS Baxter’s enterprise-wide organization dedicated to driving operational excellence and transformation through simplified and standardized processes. The Executive Search Lead will closely partner with executive leadership to proactively identify top talent for searches with a focus on the Americas. This fast paced, high impact role will involve deep exposure to the business and require the ability to manage expectations in unprecedented market conditions. The right candidate will have a blend of expert level consultative recruiting, “white glove” candidate management skills, and ability to influence executive leaders both internally and externally. This role reports to the Director, TA – Executive Recruiting and will involve a Sr. Recruiter direct report who will focus on sourcing, candidate engagement, CRM/ATS/Report updates and other market facing efforts. Requirements

  • 10+ years recruiting experience in a large matrixed organization in a multi-functional role
  • In-depth knowledge/prior experience of Medtech/pharmaceuticals/biotech sectors highly beneficial
  • Experience recruiting executive level (Director+ talent)
  • Disciplined, self-starter with a result driven mindset with a genuine interest in people with an intuitive mindset
  • BA/BS degree required, emphasis in business/HR preferred
  • Mix of in-house and agency recruiting experience preferred
  • Proven ability to develop successful relationships with executive level business partners and team members in both virtual and in person capacities
  • Regional/Global recruiting experience preferred
  • Prior experience developing intelligence such as competitor maps, talent market landscapes and pipeline analytics
  • Strong sourcing capabilities in the areas of internet search, name generation, social networks

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior executives to proactively identify trends in each function for both current and future search activities
  • Demonstrate a consistently high say-do-ratio, aligning words with actions, setting realistic commitments, and building trust through disciplined follow‑through and visible ownership of outcome
  • Conduct recruiting kickoff meetings with a consultative approach, asking challenging questions, building a success profile, and ensure the hiring team has a real time view of current market conditions
  • Bring external market trends, data, and challenges to executive hiring teams, with the ability to influence and guide the search from an “outside in” perspective
  • Update progress reports to be presented to executive leadership, including accurate and value-added candidate information
  • Ensure continued focus on critical KPI’s/goals with effective leveraging of tools, technology, and process optimization
  • Manage and develop a Sr. Recruiter who will continue to focus on outreach efforts, screening targeted talent, employer brand and process improvements
  • Engage with external executive level talent, articulating our culture, employer brand, and creating excitement around the prospective role to drive further interest from the market
  • Leverage market insights and trends to future-proof Baxter’s leadership bench and maintain competitive advantage
  • Represent our employer brand in the market, championing internal initiatives/awards on social media and positioning Baxter as a “best place to work”
  • Prepare and negotiate job offers and relocation where applicable, working with internal partners in mobility, HR, and executive compensation
