About The Position

Liberty Mutual’s US Retail Market (USRM) Architecture team is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead Accelerator, a team of software engineers who build reusable assets—including patterns, libraries, tutorials, templates, and documentation—that put USRM architecture standards into practice. These assets provide USRM engineering squads with a faster, more consistent starting point for development. The team also builds fitness functions and a framework to measure how well teams adhere to architecture standards. The manager is directly accountable for team effectiveness, delivery quality, and engineer growth. The role involves setting team strategy and direction, improving engineering practices, and acting as a change agent to help the team adopt new ways of working, including agentic engineering practices where appropriate. The manager will create a motivating environment of continuous learning and accountability, using agile practices. This is a hybrid role requiring two days in the office each week in Boston, Portsmouth, Indianapolis, Columbus, or Plano. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
