Apple Services Engineering is searching for an experienced manager to lead a team of program managers driving programs in the Apple Services Engineering architecture space. You will play a central role in driving the strategy and execution of programs that shape how Apple operates at scale. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll own scope, timelines, and cross-functional execution while building the next generation of program management leaders at Apple.
Requirements
- 8+ years of program management, product management, systems engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years managing a team of technical program/project managers
- Excellent project management skills to drive schedules, dependencies, critical path and risks
- Solid technical understanding of and experience in large scale distributed software systems, cloud architecture, development and deployment, and bonus points for past development experience
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
- Experience with release planning and SDLC methodologies
- Familiarity with system reliability engineering (SRE) process and deliverables
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field or at least 5+ years of comparable experience

- Strong relationship management and facilitation skills both within diverse engineering teams and cross functional organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey information in a clear, concise and credible manner
- Ability to partner with product and engineering teams to translate user needs into actionable requirements.
- Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings)
- Experience in talent development, succession planning, and organizational design
- Experience building feature and technical roadmaps
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance short-term urgency with long-term organizational strategy
- Ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate approaches, and weigh in on tradeoffs
- Familiarity with open-source software development processes
