About The Position

This role oversees daily maintenance operations within a refrigerated warehouse, ensuring all machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems are installed, maintained, and repaired to support safe and effective facility functionality. The position involves planning and coordinating the activities of maintenance associates, prioritizing work schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and municipal codes. The Manager will resolve maintenance issues, develop preventive maintenance programs, and collaborate on budget planning and long-term facility improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse maintenance management experience required.
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Completion of all eight RETA courses required.
• HAZMAT certification required.
• Successful completion of the Americold Certified Maintenance Manager program within 6 months of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily maintenance activities including installation, repair, and upkeep of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems for the refrigerated warehouse.
• Plan and assign work schedules for maintenance associates, ensuring operational productivity and completion of maintenance requirements.
• Develop, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports, inspecting equipment, and ensuring conformance with operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all municipal and state codes related to mechanical, electrical, and safety requirements.
• Resolve maintenance problems and assess future repair needs, coordinating necessary repairs to maintain equipment functionality.
• Collaborate with management to prepare annual maintenance budgets, develop capital expense plans, and support long-term facility and equipment improvements.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for employees and visitors by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
