Manager, Digital Ordering - Strategy & Operations

DoorDash USABoston, MA
$136,000 - $200,000

About The Position

DoorDash Digital Ordering is DoorDash’s first software-as-a-service business unit – offering a suite of services across online ordering, branded mobile apps, loyalty solutions, and more that enable merchants (restaurants, grocers, retailers, etc.) to reach customers through their own first-party channels. The business is one of the fastest-growing segments within DoorDash, and yet is only scratching the surface of a generational opportunity to better serve hundreds of thousands of merchants to help them grow their business and improve working lives in one of the country’s biggest industry sectors. As a Manager on the Digital Ordering Strategy & Operations team, you will play a critical role in building a world-class SaaS business. You will be responsible for defining and leading key go-to-market bets and initiatives to scale our business nationwide. The ideal candidate for this role should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership and create plans from scratch, and drive execution while obtaining cross-functional buy-in to achieve Digital Ordering’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Solve problems from first principles, rethinking problems from the ground up, and resisting “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
  • Be a builder at heart, and have already adopted AI tools beyond ChatGPT to meaningfully improve how you work.
  • Thrive leading cross-functional teams, empathizing with diverse perspectives, charting the right path, and influencing senior teammates who don’t report to you.
  • Be highly analytical and find the signal through the noise, equally at home picking apart funnel metrics as well as pulling insights from 50+ sales calls.
  • Be equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot, not hesitating to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but also comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team. No job is beneath you.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in high-performance cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).

Nice To Haves

  • High-growth SaaS experience is nice-to-have, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high visibility, cross-functional workstreams that address Digital Ordering’s most unique and challenging questions.
  • Shape strategies, workstreams, and playbooks across our most important go-to-market priorities, working closely with senior stakeholders across GTM, product, marketing, and beyond.
  • Design and influence the GTM sales motion at each stage of the sales funnel to communicate our value proposition to Merchant partners.
  • Get to the lowest level of detail and have a deep understanding of how our go-to-market engine operates, and use that to scale.
  • Parse complex data sets paired with qualitative feedback to provide insights and recommendations to grow the business.
