About The Position

This onsite role in Abilene, Texas, leads the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of mission-critical electrical systems supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data centers. Reporting to the Senior Critical Facilities Manager, the role owns electrical plant operations, maintenance execution, vendor performance, technician leadership, operational readiness, and incident response to protect continuous uptime and compute load. The work focuses on day-to-day plant operations and field execution rather than primary design authority. The manager oversees systems including switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, generators, transfer switches, PDUs, busway, grounding, and related monitoring platforms. The position supports 24/7 operations and requires schedule flexibility and response readiness. It involves frequent movement in an industrial environment, including walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing or pulling objects, climbing stairs, and maintaining balance on ladders or elevated platforms. The role may require independently lifting or moving up to 39 pounds and participating in group lifts for heavier loads. The role offers the opportunity to support OCI data center operations at global scale, work in a technically rigorous hyperscale cloud infrastructure environment, contribute to operational excellence, and pursue internal mobility, technical training, and career development. Oracle lists a U.S. hiring range of $102,300 to $209,500 per annum; the role may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
