Manager, Corporate Strategy
About The Position
The Manager, Corporate Strategy leads key strategic initiatives as part of Zebra’s internal consulting team. The role owns high-impact projects end to end, from framing business problems and shaping approaches through analysis, recommendations to senior leadership, and implementation. It is a hands-on, collaborative, fast-paced position with significant exposure to senior leaders and the Executive Leadership Team, requiring the ability to serve as a thought partner and execute work directly. The position leads cross-functional project teams, including junior corporate strategy team members; coordinates stakeholders and deadlines; tracks project success metrics; and provides regular updates to executive leadership. Projects may involve determining an entry point into a new market, accelerating growth in a priority market, or redesigning internal processes to drive growth. The role also supports corporate strategy workshops and events and may take on other duties and special projects as assigned. The role is based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two remote, and requires 10% travel.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required.
- 12 or more years of professional experience; candidates with 2 or more years at a top-tier consulting firm and 6 or more years of related experience, including an MBA, will also be considered.
- Ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to completion, manage personal deliverables, and coordinate contributions from others on a matrixed team.
- Ability to break ambiguous business challenges into structured, actionable plans and identify and execute next steps.
- Strong project organization skills, including mapping project phases, managing timelines, and identifying dependencies.
- Success building working relationships and influencing business leaders at multiple levels in a matrixed organization.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including creating and delivering polished presentations for executive audiences.
- Self-starter and collaborative team player with a practical, execution-oriented attitude and a strong commitment to high performance.
- Able to work a hybrid schedule from Lincolnshire, Illinois and travel 10%.

- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms, such as Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day planning, preparation, and execution of strategic initiatives, including breaking down complex business problems, conducting analyses, and determining next steps.
- Lead project teams with stakeholders from different parts of the organization, including junior corporate strategy team members.
- Interface with and act as a thought partner to executives and partners throughout Zebra.
- Coach and mentor junior team members assigned to projects.
- Coordinate proactively and communicate clearly to ensure cross-functional team members and business stakeholders meet deadlines.
- Track success metrics for active projects and provide regular updates to executive leadership to maintain alignment.
- Support planning, preparation, and execution of corporate strategy workshops and events as requested.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
