About The Position

The Manager, Corporate Strategy leads key strategic initiatives as part of Zebra’s internal consulting team. The role owns projects end to end, from framing business problems and shaping the approach through developing recommendations for senior leadership and supporting implementation. It is a hands-on, collaborative, fast-paced position with substantial exposure to senior leaders and the Executive Leadership Team, requiring the ability to serve as a thought partner and execute work directly.

The role leads cross-functional project teams, including junior corporate strategy team members, and works with stakeholders across Zebra to deliver high-impact strategic projects. Examples include determining an entry point for a new market, accelerating growth in a priority market, and redesigning internal processes to drive growth. The position is hybrid, based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, with three days in the office and two remote, and requires 10% travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 12 years of professional experience; alternatively, candidates may be considered with at least 2 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm and 6 years of related experience, including an MBA.
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to completion, manage personal deliverables, and coordinate others on a matrixed team.
• Ability to structure complex, ambiguous business challenges into actionable plans and identify and execute next steps.
• Exceptional organization and project-management skills, including mapping project phases, managing timelines, and identifying dependencies.
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships and influence business leaders at multiple levels in a highly matrixed organization.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including creating and delivering clear, persuasive presentations for executive audiences.
• Self-starter and collaborative team player with a practical, execution-oriented attitude and commitment to high performance.

Nice To Haves

• MBA preferred.
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day planning, preparation, and execution of strategic initiatives, independently breaking complex business problems into actionable plans, conducting analyses, and determining next steps.
• Lead project teams made up of stakeholders across the organization, including junior corporate strategy team members.
• Interface with executives and partners throughout Zebra and act as a thought partner to senior leaders.
• Coach and mentor junior team members assigned to projects.
• Coordinate communication and proactively ensure cross-functional team members and business stakeholders meet assigned deadlines.
• Track success metrics for active projects and provide regular updates to executive leadership to maintain alignment.
• Support the planning, preparation, and execution of corporate strategy workshops and events as requested.
• Work on strategic projects such as market entry, accelerating growth in priority markets, and internal process redesign.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
