As the owner of our Corporate Retirement Program, you will run the day-to-day administration, compliance, and operational performance of our U.S. and Canada retirement programs within a corporate Total Rewards environment. This role is focused on plan operations, regulatory compliance, and vendor oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration and compliance, preferably in a large corporate environment.
  • Strong expertise in ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations governing retirement plans.
  • Experience managing annual plan audits and preparing Form 5500 filings.
  • Proven project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering non-qualified deferred compensation plans highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with benefits administration systems preferred.
  • Professional certification (CEBS, QPA, or similar) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end administration of defined contribution (401(k)), defined benefit (pension), and nonqualified deferred compensation plans, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all plan activities
  • Lead all annual compliance activities, including Form 5500 preparation and filing, nondiscrimination testing, and coordination and execution of plan audits
  • Manage plan operations in partnership with recordkeepers, trustees, actuaries, and third-party administrators, ensuring service levels, data accuracy, and issue resolution
  • Oversee pension plan administration, including participant transactions, benefit calculations, and coordination with actuaries to ensure regulatory compliance and funding alignment
  • Administer nonqualified deferred compensation plans, including deferral elections, distributions, and participant communications
  • Monitor and interpret changes to ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations, translating regulatory updates into compliant plan processes, documentation, and controls
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements for union retirement plans, partnering effectively with internal stakeholders and union representatives
  • Resolve complex participant issues and escalations, ensuring a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and service
  • Develop, maintain, and audit plan documentation, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and operational consistency
  • Create and deliver clear employee communications and education on retirement plan features, changes, and compliance requirements
  • Support broader Total Rewards initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed
