The Manager - Convention Services acts as the primary group contact and event facilitator for program planners after a signed contract is received, with a focus on groups primarily—but not limited to—500 or more attendees at peak. The role is the primary source of event information for hotel operations and reviews hotel facilities and services with clients. The manager oversees group billing from initial setup through final settlement, including advance deposits, coordination with the Hotel Credit Department, estimating group charges, and reviewing posted charges. The role manages group room blocks, reservation cutoffs, reservation changes, and pre-planning visits, and creates and distributes Meeting Event Orders and Group Resumes to communicate requirements to hotel teams. The position coordinates meeting-space technical requirements, vendor safety and security protocols, and operational needs across hotel departments. It works with the Meeting Concierge to handle onsite requests and changes, supports group arrivals and departures, room drops and check-ins, and coordinates guest reservations and VIP experiences. The manager also maintains client relationships throughout the year by assisting with off-program requests and performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Directors of Convention Services and the Executive Director of Convention Services.
