About The Position

Construction Finance is the finance function for the company's LNG capital projects. The position reports to the VP, Construction Finance and works closely with Treasury, FP&A, Project Controls, Accounting, and senior leadership. It is 100% office-based in Arlington, Virginia, with occasional travel to construction sites and the Houston office. Periodic extended hours around reporting and executive deadlines should be expected.

  • At least 5 years in project finance, infrastructure or energy finance, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or a related field, with substantial hands-on modeling experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build integrated three-statement models from scratch, including cash waterfalls, reserve accounts, and covenant tests.
  • Expert Excel modeling skills; models must be clean, auditable, and usable by others.
  • Solid command of GAAP and financial statement mechanics sufficient to reconcile model outputs to reported results.
  • Ability to explain model-driven conclusions clearly to executives.
  • Self-directed in ambiguous environments and able to raise issues with proposed solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with probabilistic or scenario-based risk modeling, such as Monte Carlo.

  • Direct experience working with lenders, Independent Engineers, or auditors.
  • Experience in a public company or SOX controls environment.

  • Run sensitivities and project-level cost-benefit analysis to support operating and execution decisions.
  • Support project liquidity forecasting, including draw timing, sources and uses, contingency, and reserves.

  • Provide model outputs and analysis for lender and Independent Engineer requests.
  • Produce completion cost and cash flow forecasts tied to schedule and execution progress.
  • Contribute to project financial stress tests through scenario inputs, model updates, and executive outputs.
  • Translate cost and schedule developments into entity-level financial impacts.

  • Integrate entity models into consolidated budgets and forecasts with FP&A.
  • Present decision-ready analysis to senior leadership, leading with conclusions and following with supporting analysis.
