Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and seven years progressively responsible professional experience in the natural gas industry operations management and/or compliance work; OR General education knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and nine years progressively responsible professional experience in the natural gas industry operations management and/or compliance work.
  • Ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.
  • Ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, geometric operation or moderately complex statistical methods and/or apply high level accounting methods for financial reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and graphics.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance, guidance and direction to Business Unit personnel regarding leak survey/leak repair/leakage control programs, regulation and measurement compliance, technical training, safety, cathodic protection design and compliance, technical records, and regulatory compliance inspections or audits.
  • Establishes work schedules necessary to achieve completion of regulatory compliance work, procedures, and reports.
  • Develops and maintains operating and maintenance standards for the Company to assure public safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provides technical review of projects and conducts quality control audits of compliance work performed to assure system integrity, regulatory compliance, and employee and customer safety.
  • Assists during the annual capital budget development regarding compliance related expenditures, reviews budget requests and makes recommendations for submission and approval.
  • Evaluates and establishes standards for tools and equipment used in compliance activities.
  • Implements policies, procedures and standards to assure proper administration of activities.
  • Develops and monitors functional area budgets to assure efficient utilization of resources, and plans, directs and reviews the achievement of area goals and objectives within established company policies.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels to assure proper administration of activities, and selects, develops, motivates, and evaluates the performance of assigned employees.
