About The Position

As a member of the Providence St. Joseph Health Clinical Informatics management team, the Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics is responsible in collaboration with the Directors and Medical Informatics for collaborative implementation, support, and on-going optimization of clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy and other organizational commitments. As a partner for clinical transformation and in collaboration with the GVPs Clinical Nursing Informatics, CI Regional Directors, ministry Nurse Executives and other clinical and physician leaders, the Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics manages staff performance in informatics initiatives with an emphasis on information technology and services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in the areas of practice, clinical applications, clinical/administrative decision-making, research and quality improvement initiatives, education, and resource management. He/she combines knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to effectively represent the information and knowledge needs and requirements of healthcare professionals and patients and to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings. Scope may include acute care, ambulatory care, and post-acute care settings in designated areas of service. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes a multidisciplinary team concept and reflects the Providence St. Joseph Health mission, vision, values, and philosophy. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field or equivalent education/experience
  • 6 years of Strong experience in clinical practice, clinical informatics and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues.
  • Able to communicate with all levels and manage shifting priorities and accountable for deliverables.
  • 4 years of experience in clinical or IT functional management in comparable organizations, including financial and supervisory accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related healthcare field (or degree in process).
  • Certification in Informatics upon hire
  • Epic Certification in one or more applications upon hire
  • Informatics certifications or credentialing (may be equivalent for up to 2 years of experience for this position at the hiring manger’s discretion) upon hire
  • 3 years of experienced in all areas of program and project management including multiple project integration and process/workflow redesign.
