About The Position

The Manager, Clinical Development plays a key role in supporting the execution of clinical training programs across Saskatchewan, with a focus on digital dentistry, patient education, dental hygiene optimization, and orthodontic integration. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Development and Education, this role works directly with clinics to implement training, improve clinical workflows, and support adoption of best practices. This is a highly hands-on role that involves working closely with dental teams in-clinic, providing both training and chairside support. You will act as a bridge between clinical strategy and day-to-day practice, ensuring that training initiatives translate into improved patient outcomes, team engagement, and operational consistency.

Requirements

  • Active Dental Hygiene License/Registration
  • Authorization to administer local anesthetic and perform orthodontic procedures
  • 7+ years of experience in dental hygiene, with at least 5 years mentoring or coaching teams
  • Strong experience with digital dentistry and scanning technology (iTero preferred)
  • Experience in orthodontics, particularly clear aligner therapy
  • Strong understanding of provincial regulatory requirements for dental hygiene
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence clinical teams
  • Ability to lead changes and drive adoption of new practices in a clinical setting
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 80 percent, including occasional overnight travel

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical training programs focused on digital workflows, patient education, and hygiene optimization
  • Train and support teams in the use of digital scanning technology and modern clinical tools
  • Support integration of orthodontic services and comprehensive care models (perio, ortho, restorative)
  • Provide chairside support to dental hygiene and clinical teams, including patient scanning and education
  • Develop and deliver training sessions both virtually and in person
  • Create tools, guides, and documentation to support consistent clinical practices across clinics
  • Partner with Operations and clinic leadership to improve workflows, communication, and patient experience
  • Support treatment planning, case acceptance, and overall clinic performance
  • Build alignment and buy-in with dentists, office managers, and clinic teams
  • Provide follow-up and accountability to ensure successful implementation of training initiatives
  • Monitor clinic performance metrics to identify training needs and opportunities
  • Measure effectiveness of training programs and adjust approach as needed
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory standards, clinical guidelines, and best practices.
