We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intermediate Project Controller to join ONEX River Fabrication Shop. This fulltime role will be responsible for controlling the project cost; this includes LEMs creation, planning, developing, controlling, client invoicing and forecasting the project's budget. Evaluating project and conducting cost analysis.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of proven experience as accountant, project controls or project coordinator within an industrial construction environment
  • Proficiency with various software such as; project management related, SharePoint, MS Office, especially Adobe, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and/or via email

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements, willing to train the ideal candidate
  • CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015 Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Daily LEMs creation and submission to Project Managers.
  • File and save 3rd party LEMs to project for costing.
  • Assist with developing and implement project cost control strategies, coding and methods.
  • Collaborate and assist cost control team.
  • Importing estimate/budgets into project software and tracking.
  • Cost monitoring, control and closing.
  • Analyze and control cost trends, reports on trends, and monitor cost.
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate financial risks to the project manager.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed cost reports and assist project managers with forecasts.
  • Create and issue invoices for project manager approval, including correspondence with Accounts Receivable and client clarification.
  • Assist Project Managers with client specific cost related reports and forecasts
