About The Position

An Illinois-based organization whose mission is to support children and families facing life's challenges through compassionate care is seeking a clinical leader to guide the therapeutic direction of their residential and transitional living programs. This role is the clinical backbone of the residential service programs, ideal for a licensed or license-eligible clinician who excels at balancing direct care, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and systems-level impact to support behaviorally complex youth.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in high-acuity youth settings (e.g., congregate care, therapeutic schools).
• Eligibility for licensure (LCSW) required.
• Strong working knowledge of trauma-informed care.
• Ability to become TCI certified.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and DCFS/CANTS clearance eligibility.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory and residential experience preferred.
• Active license highly preferred.
• Ability to serve as a CARE/TCI trainer.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate residential and transitional living therapists.
• Oversee treatment planning, lead monthly clinical staffings, and collaborate with schools and case managers to ensure timely community reintegration.
• Review case notes and documentation to ensure strict compliance with Medicaid billing.
• Promote CARE principles and TCI practices, assist with crisis de-escalation, and step in to support staff during complex situations.
