About The Position

The Manager Clinic Operations I is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and implementing policies and procedures related to patient care, business operations, and fiscal matters for assigned clinics and satellite facilities. The role oversees clinic staff and daily operations, supports accurate registration, insurance verification, and time-of-service collections, and helps ensure effective staffing, training, budgeting, and compliance with department policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in a medical setting.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Current Michigan driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance.
• Must be insurable under McLaren’s insurance program.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a business- or health-related field.
• Previous operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Selects, trains or orients, and assigns department staff, directly or through a subordinate supervisor.
• Enforces performance standards, evaluates employee performance, and initiates or recommends personnel actions.
• Supervises employees’ daily work related to accurate registration, insurance verification, and time-of-service collections.
• Develops department goals and objectives and enforces policies and procedures covering clinical and revenue cycle functions, quality assurance, environmental matters, and infection control.
• Recommends the department operating budget and ensures the department operates within budget.
• Ensures Office Coordinators and Operations Supervisors maximize staff productivity through job assignments and cross-training.
• Ensures Office Coordinators and Operations Supervisors are properly trained and their staff members are accurately cross-trained.
