About The Position

The Manager, Client Delivery is responsible for leading a team of technical consultants and business analysts to effectively manage various consulting clients and technical projects. This leadership role leverages proven experience as a subject matter expert in the life insurance or reinsurance industry along with superior technical testing and systems analysis, to lead the team to achieve client and company objectives. This role is highly accountable for their team's results. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships and working with internal technical staff to implement life reinsurance solutions and services to TAI clients. The individual will also play an important role in the implementation of client projects, ranging from design and oversight of software implementations testing, upgrade projects, and custom modifications to align the TAI Life and Health Reinsurance system with the ceded reinsurance business processes for domestic and international clients. The individual will perform complex research and analysis to support business operations and develop recommendations to address problems/issues for their key client projects.

Requirements

  • College or University Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years overall insurance experience
  • Proven knowledge of life insurance and annuity accounting concepts
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior life insurance or reinsurance role
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Proven decision-making skills, demonstrating the ability to make decisions quickly based on often incomplete information
  • Effective gap-analysis and report writing skills
  • Proven track record of understanding client expectations efficiently and effectively in order to meet or exceed client expectations on assignments
  • Ability to lead a team of consultants and business analyst in order to execute numerous client projects to completion, while demonstrating best practices, evidenced controls, and quality outcomes
  • Experience communicating directly and frequently with clients and stakeholders in a customer service setting

Nice To Haves

  • University degree in computer science, actuarial science, finance, or accounting
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • Thorough understanding of reinsurance data and business processes including administration and billing, claims, underwriting, valuation, accounting, auditing, etc
  • Proven ability to work with large data sets and complex data flows to recognize systemic risks and issues to the client
  • Proven understanding of most life insurance products written in the North American market
  • Experience with project management concepts and practices

Responsibilities

  • Managing and training staff to ensure appropriate and quality delivery of software and services to clients.
  • Developing and managing sophisticated testing protocol and procedures to ensure base systems and modified code are adequately tested and delivered to clients without defect.
  • Coordinate, develop and improve automated testing program in conjunction with QA management to ensure maximum efficiency in BA/QA testing framework
  • Responsible for adherence to internal processes and controls and modifying these as appropriate.
  • Oversee the accurate and complete collection, documentation, and analyzing of business requirements for client projects.
  • Publish project reports and collaborate on a weekly and monthly basis with key client accounts and management.
  • Provide training in the use of the TAI system, general reinsurance administration, and the process flow of using the TAI system for reinsurance administration within a clients’ process environment.
  • Phone support for TAI clients in support of the system to determine training opportunities, TAI upgrade opportunities and/or TAI defects.
  • Conduct complex tasks and activities within TAI and/or externally to obtain information such as life reinsurance policy data, cession data, managing the implementation of insurance products and/or business process workflows into the TAI Life Reinsurance system.
  • May work with other departments, conduct interviews, lead workshops, or conduct primary or secondary research to gather client data if information is not readily available.
