About The Position

The Manager, Carcass Merchandising Site Leader leads first-shift carcass merchandising personnel and supports second-shift leadership in partnership with the General Manager, Carcass Merchandising and staff across assigned Tyson Fresh Meats beef operations. The position provides daily supervision, coaching, accountability, and operational direction to support accurate USDA grade application, consistent merchandising execution, grading-system integrity, inventory alignment, shift continuity, and timely communication of business-critical information. As the primary site leader for first-shift operations, the Manager translates production priorities, grade projections, merchandising direction, and operational needs into consistent departmental execution, while helping align second-shift execution. The role works closely with Production Planning, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, USDA personnel, and carcass merchandising leadership on grading accuracy, staffing, system performance, process adherence, shift handoffs, and issue resolution. The Manager also strengthens departmental bench depth through succession planning, structured training, continued education, and employee development across both shifts. The position supports cross-training, identifies future leaders, and promotes consistent standards across carcass merchandising functions. Non-routine travel may be required for grade reviews, training, relief work, facility coverage, audits, succession planning, and other assigned business needs. The role is slated for candidates currently working at the Dakota City facility, who receive priority consideration; if no local Team Members are selected, applicants from other locations and external candidates may be considered. A resume is required for consideration.
