Requirements

  • Proven ability to generate leads, convert inquiries into enrollments or sales, and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a warm, professional approach to families and sound judgment when addressing questions or concerns.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through; ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Ability to interpret sales results, recommend improvements, and collaborate effectively with camp leadership and the corporate team.
  • Passion for summer camp experiences and a commitment to camper privacy, family trust, and the organization’s values.
  • Ability to travel and work onsite as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Overnight camp experience as a camper and/or staff member is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales processes and enrollment strategies for both camps, prioritizing new camper acquisition and referrals while supporting returning camper retention and re-enrollment in partnership with the Camp Directors.
  • Work with the Camp Directors to establish annual enrollment and related revenue goals by camp and session within approved capacity and cabin-placement guidelines.
  • Achieve and exceed defined sales and enrollment goals through disciplined prospecting, timely follow-up, relationship development, and conversion.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective families from initial inquiry through enrollment, then support preparation for camp in coordination with the Camp Directors or their designees.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective camp families through clear communication of programs, offerings, tuition, policies, and experiences. Establish a consistent handoff following enrollment, providing Camp Directors with relevant family background, communication history, expectations, and camper interests. Camp Directors and/or their designees remain the primary relationship leaders for enrolled and returning families; support re-enrollment and retention outreach in coordination with them.
  • Proactively generate and follow up on leads through outreach, referrals, school and community partnerships, camp fairs, tours, regional presentations, camp movie showings, and virtual and in-person events. Develop a structured referral approach that engages current families, alumni, and other camp advocates in introducing prospective campers.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, CRM, and camp registration systems from initial lead through enrollment, maintaining accurate lead sources, family records, contact histories, follow-up activities, family interests, session preferences, enrollment status, and next steps.
  • Develop consistent sales processes, follow-up expectations, and communication templates; train and support Camp Directors and other team members involved in prospective-family conversations and enrollment. Establish clear ownership, next steps, and timelines for active leads to support accountability for follow-up.
  • Prioritize filling camper sessions. Support group or shoulder-season opportunities only as agreed with camp leadership when they align with the camps’ mission, offer a clear opportunity to attract prospective campers, and do not detract from camper enrollment goals. Coordinate proposals, booking follow-up, and operational handoffs for approved opportunities.
  • Track enrollment pace, available capacity, lead volume and sources, conversion rates, retention, referrals, and sales activity by camp and session. Maintain regular enrollment forecasts and pipeline reports; recommend adjustments when enrollment is behind goal or sessions require additional focus.
  • Align sales efforts with Camp Director priorities. Coordinate with the corporate team on needed recruitment materials and provide feedback on prospect questions, objections, family interests, and enrollment trends.
  • Travel throughout the United States during the fall, winter, and spring to host regional camper recruitment, prospect-development, and family-engagement events that generate leads, referrals, and enrollments.
  • Maintain a substantial onsite presence at the camps in Nisswa, Minnesota, during summer and as needed in spring and fall to deepen understanding of the camper and family experience, strengthen relationships, and support retention, re-enrollment, and referrals.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
