About The Position

The Manager, Business Analytics and Reporting leads the team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights that inform the Bank’s strategy, operations, and management and regulatory reporting. The role connects data with business context and communicates key drivers, implications, risks, and recommended actions to stakeholders at all levels. The manager leads a technical team that provides insights on the Bank’s business, balance sheet, operations, and customers. Responsibilities include developing centralized reporting for business groups, management, other FHLBanks, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders; managing required regulatory reporting; advancing analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization capabilities; and ensuring reports and executive materials explain results and implications rather than presenting metrics alone. It owns the Bank’s capital, retained earnings, and dividend calculations; drives process improvements and controls; manages team staffing and development; and responds to ad hoc requests from executives, Internal Audit, and other areas of the Bank. FHLBank Chicago describes its operating model as collaborative and in-office, while also offering work-from-home options. The position is based at the Bank’s space in the Old Post Office.
