Requirements

  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and concise reports and documentation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and operational excellence.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training, certifications, or related education preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, construction, utilities, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience supervising, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Working knowledge preferred of facility maintenance practices and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and preventive maintenance programs preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple departments, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
  • Valid driver's license required and ability to travel between resort locations as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance operations for assigned ski area facilities, utilities, and infrastructure, ensuring assets are maintained in a safe, reliable, and guest-ready condition.
  • Supervise, schedule, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians through regular feedback, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate and prioritize preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and corrective actions for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire life safety, food service equipment, building envelopes, and security systems.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager to identify maintenance needs, scope projects, support capital planning efforts, and execute approved capital and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor facility conditions and asset performance through inspections, maintenance programs, and work order systems to drive reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards, environmental requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with budget administration, inventory management, contractor oversight, equipment procurement, and resource planning.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with resort departments, contractors, vendors, and external agencies to support mountain operations and guest experience.
  • Establish performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving departmental goals, service standards, and safety expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
