About The Position
The Manager, Billing Operations, leads oversight and continuous improvement of billing and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The role analyzes financial data, manages risk, supports reporting in alignment with regulatory standards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize workflows and deliver timely financial statements. The manager drives process enhancements, ensures adherence to company policies, and promotes operational excellence and effective communication. The role is part of Walmart Data Ventures’ Invoicing team, which manages the revenue lifecycle for Walmart’s data and analytics products. The team delivers precise, scalable, client-centered billing solutions and works across finance, technology, analytics, and business enablement to address operational challenges, drive automation, and build efficient processes.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of billing systems, accounts receivable, and invoicing processes within a corporate finance environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory frameworks, and accounting principles affecting billing operations.
- Ability to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Experience managing stakeholder communications and resolving billing inquiries professionally and clearly.
- Skill in continuous improvement processes to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Proficiency in ad hoc reporting and using financial systems to support business objectives.
Responsibilities

- Analyze financial data to support reporting, reconciliation, and month-end close activities.
- Manage stakeholder communications to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize billing processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain data integrity and support risk management protocols.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and financial statements reflecting updated accounting treatments and business transactions.
