About The Position

PBS Business Intelligence supports PBS and its member stations by providing insight into audience and member behavior and trends that inform organizational decision-making. The Manager, Audience Insights is a research generalist supporting PBS’s general audience content and marketing teams. The position conducts qualitative and quantitative primary research into attitudes toward public television, motivations to donate, and perceptions of the PBS brand, and combines that research with analysis of Nielsen, Google Analytics, and syndicated sources to develop a comprehensive view of audience behavior across platforms. The Manager works independently on most assignments and serves as a point of contact for stakeholders with audience-related questions. The role designs and executes research, analyzes and reports on audience data, communicates findings and recommendations to cross-functional audiences, and builds relationships with member station colleagues. Research vendor work is handled day to day, with scope, contract, and budget matters escalated to the Senior Director.
