About The Position

Atura Power is seeking a Manager, Applications, Digital and Data to oversee enterprise applications, digital initiatives, and data capabilities. This new position is crucial for ensuring business systems are stable, secure, and aligned with operational needs, while also driving digital and AI-enabled advancements. The role involves leading initiative prioritization and delivery, supporting governance, and collaborating with business teams to implement practical solutions. The Manager will be accountable for system performance, project delivery, and the adoption of digital and data capabilities, working closely with the Cyber, Security, and Infrastructure team to maintain secure platforms. The position operates on a Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week and is located at the corporate head office in Oakville, ON.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise applications in a complex or regulated environment.
  • Ability to orchestrate the complete automation of processes, significantly accelerating processing and virtually eliminating manual errors.
  • Experience leading IT or digital initiatives, deployments with accountability for delivery.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Power Platform, or similar).
  • Understanding of IT controls, cybersecurity, and governance practices.
  • Ability to revitalize the internal knowledge base by developing clear, user-friendly documentation for key tools, enhancing accessibility and knowledge for essential tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Occasional travel to Atura Power locations across Ontario may be required (up to 20%).
  • A valid G-class driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise applications.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of systems, including enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and optimization.
  • Set priorities for system improvements based on business needs and operational risk.
  • Ensure systems meet internal controls, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee vendors and service providers to ensure consistent delivery and support.
  • Lead delivery of digital, automation, and AI-related initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Manage scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ensure solutions align with business priorities, data standards, and governance requirements.
  • Track outcomes and confirm expected business value is achieved.
  • Improve the quality, consistency, and accessibility of data across systems.
  • Support and enhance reporting and analytics tools used by the business.
  • Enable business teams to use data more effectively for planning and decision-making.
  • Identify and implement practical digital and automation opportunities that improve operations.
  • Ensure applications and initiatives comply with internal controls, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements.
  • Maintain alignment with IT policies, standards, and governance practices.
  • Support audit and compliance activities.
  • Work with Cyber, Security and Infrastructure teams to embed secure-by-design practices.
  • Partner with business units to understand needs and priorities.
  • Translate business requirements into system and digital solutions.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support adoption of new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Lead and support a small team of IT analysts.
  • Set priorities, assign work, and monitor delivery.
  • Provide coaching and development to team members.
  • Establish clear accountability between internal resources and external vendors.
