About The Position

As a Manager and Head of BU2 NA Customer Quality/Warranty reporting to the Head of Quality – BU2, you will be responsible to manage BU2 NA region Warranty management systems, including evaluation of product field performance, customer warranty debits, product field/warranty cost improvement and customer warranty interface. Coordination with Plants and Engineering on field issue resolution and improvement. Management of the Significant Quality Issue/Top Quality Issue for BU2 NA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering required
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Strong presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree desirable
  • Leadership or Supervision experience highly desired
  • Experience in Product or Systems Engineering desired
  • Problem Solving experience, Green Belt/Black Belt a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage product field performance (warranty) issues.
  • Review of customer debits for approval or dispute.
  • Continuous improvement of warranty systems and product field performance.
  • Provide field failure prevention input to Product Engineering and Process Planning.
  • Negotiate warranty debits and technical factors with Customers.
  • Review new or updated Customer Warranty Agreements and escalate when terms are not acceptable to MAHLE.
  • Manage multiple high profile, high-cost potential issues simultaneously.
  • Provide logical and data-based problem solving of warranty/field issues.
  • Coordinate with Plants, Process Engineering and Product Engineering on timely root cause analysis and corrective action for field issues.
  • Drive fast actions to minimize financial impact of field issues to MAHLE and our Customers.
