About The Position

FORVIA - HELLA is seeking its next great Head of Design Quality to join our growing engineering division. The primary function of this role is to support product design quality within the North American region. This individual will be joining a well established group that is focused on supporting our internal associates. Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive development quality, engineering, program management, or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of automotive development processes for electronics and/or software products.
  • Experience with automotive core tools and quality methodologies.
  • Experience working with OEM customers such as Ford, GM, Stellantis, VW, or similar.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ASPICE, Functional Safety, and systems/software development processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and further develop the Development Quality function within the North America region ensuring robust quality processes throughout the product development lifecycle for electronics and software projects.
  • Drive compliance with automotive standards and customer-specific requirements (IATF 16949, ASPICE, Functional Safety, OEM requirements, etc.).
  • Act as key interface between Development, Program Management, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers.
  • Coordinate quality planning activities including Risk assessments, DFMEA / PFMEA alignment, Quality gates and release management, Problem-solving and escalation management, and Lessons learned and continuous improvement activities
  • Support customer audits, assessments, and technical reviews.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for development-related quality issues.
  • Lead and coach a regional team while collaborating closely with global stakeholders across multiple development sites.
