About The Position

Covista is seeking a dynamic, strategic communicator to serve as a social media storyteller and content creator for Alumni Engagement. This role is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that elevate alumni voices, strengthen engagement and enhance our institutional brand reputations including American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Chamberlain University, Ross University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and Walden University. You will combine content creation expertise and social media strategy to deliver compelling alumni narratives across a broad digital ecosystem. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, alumni communications leadership, and marketing teams to ensure consistent, high-quality, on-brand storytelling for each institution's alumni community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing
  • Proven track record of successful social media growth and engagement
  • Strong content creation skills with the ability to develop engaging social media content across platforms (copywriting, editing)
  • Creative thinking with the ability to adapt brand messaging across platforms and build authentic audience relationships
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), with working video editing skills
  • Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Sprout Social)
  • Familiarity with social listening tools and sentiment monitoring
  • Understanding of social media best practices, platform algorithms, and emerging trends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple brands, channels, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining quality
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using social media analytics tools
  • Ability to track performance and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Excellent organizational, logistical, and planning skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across institutions and cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in content calendar management and maintaining consistent brand voice across multiple digital platforms
  • Experience with social media analytics and performance measurement, including reporting and optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct social listening and sentiment analysis, translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Understanding of both organic social media strategy and paid social advertising

Responsibilities

  • Execute social media strategies across alumni-specific channels (13+ platforms) spanning all Covista institutions
  • Design platform-specific content (copy, graphics, video) aligned with each brand voice
  • Manage social media scheduling and publishing using HubSpot and Sprout Social, maintaining a consistent cadence for each institution
  • Develop and support paid digital strategies to amplify campaigns and engagement
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement (comments, messages, mentions) to foster connection within each alumni community
  • Maintain and enforce brand and visual identity standards across all institutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and message consistency
  • Track, analyze, and report monthly on social media performance metrics and trends
  • Translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Conduct social listening and sentiment analysis to inform content strategies
  • Partner with Alumni Communications leadership to develop HubSpot campaigns and engagement initiatives
  • Support enterprise campaigns by vetting alumni social media profiles in collaboration with the alumni engagement managers
  • Assist in crisis communication monitoring and response coordination
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives with corporate affairs and marketing teams
