About The Position

Our Supply Chain Labor Planning team plays a critical role in ensuring that Walmart’s vast logistics network runs efficiently and effectively. We use data-driven insights to anticipate labor needs, optimize workforce allocation, and enable our associates to deliver exceptional results at scale. We are seeking a Manager, Advanced Analytics who will leverage Power BI, SQL, and advanced analytics techniques to transform complex data into actionable insights. In this role, you will work closely with operations and finance to solve critical business problems, improve labor forecasting, and enhance decision-making across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Experience with Power BI, including data model creation and report/dashboard development.
  • Strong SQL skills for query writing, data management, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with a drive to simplify complex problems and a passion for problem-solving.
  • The ability to work independently, think critically, and collaborate effectively with business partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years’ experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area OR 4 years’ experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python, R, or other advanced analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain labor models, workforce scheduling, or predictive forecasting.
  • Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, or Google BigQuery).
  • Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis
  • Masters: Business Administration, Masters: Information Systems, Masters: Statistics

Responsibilities

  • Build tools and processes that streamline labor planning and decision-making, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI data models and reports to improve visibility and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Write advanced SQL queries, manage data pipelines, and ensure data accuracy across multiple sources and business areas.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business partners, providing expertise on data, analytics, and reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, align on goals, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and training to field users.
  • Stay curious and actively explore new technologies, methods, and tools to improve workforce optimization and unlock new opportunities.
