The Manager, Advanced Analytics will apply sophisticated modeling and analytic techniques to guide client media spending and improve investment efficiency. This role involves designing and developing analytic processes, managing ongoing execution, and cultivating relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, possesses the drive to identify and solve business problems, and is a critical thinker capable of providing creative strategic solutions with flawless execution. This position requires thought leadership to drive analytic innovations and clear, persuasive communication skills in a collaborative environment. A strong work ethic, determination, and a desire for significant business impact are essential. Approximately 50% of the role will focus on analytics for a key client vertical, developing targeted analyses and applications. While reporting to the Chief Analytic Officer, this role will also have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the client vertical.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Advanced Analytics, preferably in media or an adjacent field.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing teams.
  • Consulting skills: ability to explore business views, develop mutually owned solutions, and solve problems creatively in complex situations.
  • Ability to contextualize data within client business questions and needs for applicable model design and reporting.
  • Proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to create time-saving efficiencies for regular client deliverables.
  • Responsibility for own deliverables, assuring timely and quality output.
  • Technology Platform Expertise (e.g., R, SQL, Python) with the ability to create readable, replicable code.
  • Domain Knowledge: understanding of data, analytics, and the media ecosystem (social, programmatic, SEM, TV, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • High-end marketing response modeling expertise (e.g., MMM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance data and analytics capabilities.
  • Lead the development of a campaign measurement framework for a key client vertical.
  • Spearhead modeling and analytic efforts to provide insights into new product launches/initiatives.
  • Continuously improve the usage of Horizon’s existing data and analytics infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve current analytic processes and develop new capabilities.
  • Utilize automation and technology to increase efficiency and scale infrastructure.
  • Bring an external perspective to analytic development, assessing and translating best practices internally.
  • Manage individual projects and ensure execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key functional areas and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the Analytics team and internal Brand, Activation, and Operational areas.
  • Engage in extensive client interaction and day-to-day management.
  • Provide training and mentoring to direct reports and guidance for career growth.
