Reporting to the Director, Advanced Education (Director), the Manager, Adult Programs (Manager) is responsible for ensuring that all educational initiatives are consistent with departmental philosophies, values and beliefs expressed through Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit and other departmental strategic documents. The Manager is accountable for leadership and direction required for the development, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of Pathways to Adult Secondary School (PASS) Diploma Program and programs designed to enhance adult literacy in English and Inuktitut on behalf of the department and working closely with divisional staff to develop, implement and monitor adult education programs and services to enhance educational achievement and labor market participation in Nunavut. The department also licences and supports early learning and child care centres across the territory with funding, training and resource provision, and administers financial and other supports for Nunavut’s post-secondary studentsMinister of Education to create a healthy, strong, and flourishing Nunavut.
