About The Position

Responsible for assisting the controller RCFO Region CFO in securing financial operations, managing the accounting department, and developing a fiscal strategy aligned with Company goals. The role oversees accounting staff and financial processes, supports reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and cost-control initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Five years of accounts payable experience required.
Organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of financial reporting software.
Ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from it.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience leading others is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the work of Accounts Payable Associates, Accounts Receivable Associates, and Accounting Associates.
Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
Prepare Sysco weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Enter monthly journal entries and accruals, and complete account reconciliations.
Manage business license applications and renewals as necessary.
Oversee the close of multiple sets of books and records.
Ensure account reconciliations are completed timely and correctly, and address reconciling items within Sysco requirements.
Maintain and timely perform business processes for underlying transactional activities.
Support the weekly reporting process and forecast process.
Assist with annual Sysco budgets.
Recommend ways to improve profitability and identify opportunities to control costs and reduce expenses.
Prepare and file local tax returns.
Participate in the shrink committee.
Ensure proper reporting and compliance, and issue financial statements.
