The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level program designed to prepare participants for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. After successful completion of the initial eight-week training, participants may progress into an Assistant Store Manager position. The typical schedule is 44 hours per week and may include evenings and/or weekends. Participants work with store management to oversee a million-dollar business and contribute to its development and strategy. The program covers store operations, customers, and internal strategy. Participants grow market share by selling to commercial users, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers. Training develops skills for a career in management and professional sales, including customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. Participants also build community relationships and receive support through formal discussions about objectives and development. The role involves contact with customers, potentially including minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. Sherwin-Williams has determined that a criminal-history review is necessary to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.
