About The Position

The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Internship is a paid, 10–12-week summer program that provides hands-on experience in retail stores and exposure to management, sales, store operations, and customer service. Interns gain practical business-to-business and retail experience in a paint store, learn about outside sales by traveling with a Sales Representative, and spend structured time with the management team. They also collaborate with fellow interns on a project addressing a business issue, with leadership support. Learning areas include sales, marketing and promotions, merchandising, customer relationship management, and business management. Successful program participants are encouraged to apply to the Management & Sales Training Program (MTP). College graduates are not eligible for the internship and are encouraged to apply to MTP instead. The role involves contact with customers, which may include minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. Sherwin-Williams has determined that criminal history review is necessary to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.
