About The Position

This posting is for an applicant pool for affiliate faculty in the Department of Management. These are temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions that vary from semester to semester based on program needs. Screening of applicants will occur when positions become available. Not all applicants in the pool will be contacted or selected to teach. The Department of Management in the AACSB-accredited College of Business invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Management or related field.
  • Must meet the College of Business Faculty Qualification Policy criteria to be classified as either SP or IP.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate or dissertation complete, defense pending in a management related field.
  • Work experience in the teaching field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 3 - 9 credit hours in general management, entrepreneurship, operations/production, human resources, and international business.
  • Work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students.
  • Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
  • Grade student work and provide robust feedback in a timely manner.
  • Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
  • Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment.
  • Provide instruction consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and department course coordination policies.
  • Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
  • Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
  • Be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
