About The Position

This is an applicant pool for affiliate faculty in Construction Project Management within the Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University (MSU Denver). These are temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions. The number of positions varies by semester based on program needs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management or related field
  • Four years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Construction Project Management or related field, plus four years of relevant experience or Doctorate
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • CFM (Certified Facility Manager)

Responsibilities

  • Teaching assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students
  • Preparing course materials and lesson plans
  • Grading student work
  • Providing students with robust feedback in a timely manner
  • Addressing student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies
  • Providing online or in person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment
  • Providing instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if required, with department course coordination policies
  • Complying with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies
  • Adapting and learning new modes of instruction
  • Being sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population
