About The Position

Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures requested by a licensed physician. Applies professional judgment and x-ray energy to provide health care services that assist with diagnosis or treatment for patients of all ages, from newborns to elderly patients. The role is multi-skilled in mammography and also performs Bone Density procedures. The position requires completion of established competencies within the designated introductory period, along with other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (R, M) certification, except for Alabama-only requirements noted in the posting.
• State license if required.
• AHA BLS certification.
• For Alabama-only placements: ARRT (R), state license if required, and AHA BLS; obtain the ARRT (M) Mammography credential within one year of hire or placement in the role.

• Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
• Assist practitioners with percutaneous breast localizations and aspirations.
• Optimize mammography procedures by completing QA-QC protocols.
• Perform Bone Density procedures.
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
