About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing places talented candidates with partner healthcare facilities to support exceptional, compassionate care. The Mammography Tech performs diagnostic imaging services according to department protocols and serves as a first-line interface with customers, helping meet their imaging needs. The role participates in quality and performance improvement activities and supports radiology department operations, including staffing, scheduling, supplies, equipment, and image transmission to PACS. The position is located in Redding, California, in the Radiology Diagnostic department, with full-time variable shifts.

Requirements

• Hold licensure and a fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
• Effective July 1, 2017, appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification is required.
• Be familiar with state and federal regulations.
• Have at least one year of experience.
• Graduate from a program accredited by JRCERT.
• Have proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
• Serve as the first-line interface with customers and help accomplish their imaging needs.
• Participate in PI/QC activities and assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
• Supervise Radiology staff in the absence of a supervisor.
• Maintain department supplies.
• Promote teamwork and good customer service.
• Assist with annual evaluations and staff discipline.
• Schedule assigned subdepartments and maintain their supplies and equipment.
• Process and transmit images to PACS.
